Seaside's Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off

Saturday September 25th, 2010 Seaside will be host to another grand Great Pumpkin Weigh-Off! 

The Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers and local participants will enjoy the day and a chance to win some serious prize money! An event that brings together people from all over the state to show off their giant (and not so giant) pumpkins and compete. Farmers start arriving and unloading at 10am. Weigh Off officialy begins at noon.

 The PGVG growers can expect a day of fierce compitition  and Clatsop County residents can enter their home grown field ones for the "Locals" contest.

But, the highlight of the day will not only be the weigh off, Evergreen Bowling Lanes will set up chances  to pumpkin bowl in the city parking lot across from the Convention Center. fun starts at noon. Prizes will be donated from several of our local merchants. After  at the weigh off, enjoy the sights and sounds of "Those Darn Accordians" and all the Oktoberfest has to offer at the Seaside Elks Lodge.  Tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 or $10 at the door. The vendors for food and crafts is free and open to the public.
